The Process Of Scrap Metal Recycling

The metal recycling process consists of four stages. Metal is collected from scrap and sorted into containers there. All non-ferrous metal products containing steel or iron are treated as steel scrap. Collecting and sorting:

Tearing and shredding:

Scrap processing plants first break down the metal into sealants so the conveyor belts can be handled more easily. Then the hammer mill cuts the metal into hand-sized pieces.


The polished metal is then placed in a magnetic drum that separates the ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Non-metallic materials such as paint or plastic are removed by blowing hot air (550 °C) through the shredded metal and sucking up impurities like a vacuum.

Melting and cleaning:

In the next step, various scrap metal was smelted in a large furnace. Each metal has a uniquely designed forge depending on its characteristics. The stove has an economical regenerative fuel burner to reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution. The mixing process produces the final product of the highest quality.
