Soil Vapor Testing – An Environmental Remediation Technology

It can be difficult to find the right information about soil vapor remediation. This is a vast field that not many people are familiar with. The principle of soil vapor remediation is widely used in the world by various government agencies.

One of the most well-known and widely used soil vapor testing techniques is dredging, excavation, surfactant enhanced remediation (SEAR), pump and stabilization, and solidification. Soil vapor extraction (SVE) is one of the most complicated and complex forms of environmental remediation.

Soil Vapor Extraction – As its name suggests, soil vapor extraction is a method of treating soil contamination. Different types of soil vapor extraction are available:

Granular activated Carbon – Granular activated carbon (or GAC), is a technology that can be used to filter water and air. GACs can be found in household sinks that filter tap water. However, it is not effective at filtering heavy metals out of the water.

Vapor condensation– Vapor condensation is the best type of technology for treating high concentration vapor streams. Although soil vapor extraction is one of the more complicated types of environmental remediation technology, and also one of the most effective.

This technology is performed by scientists, environmental remediation engineers, and experts in the field. If you are unsure about the soil's contamination, contact your local agency for a test.
